摘要
On the basis of the Velocity Correlation Coefficient (''VCC'')-method we have formulated a mass-corrected Hartley-Crank equation, according to which the reliable prediction of the mutual diffusion coefficients of thermodynamically near-ideal binary liquid n-alkane systems requires only the knowledge of the masses and self-diffusion data of their components. In contrast to this, the results of our NMR spin-echo - and diaphragm cell experiments clearly indicate that an empirical relation given in the literature and representing the mutual diffusion coefficients of these mixtures as a function of their mass densities and the geometrical mean number of C-atoms of their components, cannot safely be extended to low-molecular systems.
