摘要：

The clinical manifestations and management of heart disease are modified by age. Failure to recognize the influence of age upon heart disease contributes to errors in diagnosis and therapy. Because of our concern with heart disease in the aged, a geriatric cardiac clinic was established in the Department of Medicine of the Tulane Medical School. Selected problems in geriatric cardiology have been presented in this paper. It is emphasized that there is a need for greater awareness of the problems of heart disease in the aged among physicians. © 1969.
