摘要
Components of the renin-angiotensin axis function in and around proximal tubules. Angiotensin II affects regulation of hemodynamics and tubular transport, as well as metabolic and hypertrophic actions. The intrarenal production of angiotensin II and its local pleiomorphic engagements suggest this peptide is a renal cytokine.
