摘要
The article aims to report the prevailing forms of political participation by civil society organizations (CSO) in Salvador-Bahia-Brazil and the use they give to internet in the process. This is an applied research, we use the literature review and empirical research consists of five phases, the interview is the instrument used for collecting data. The results show that participation in debates and forums, search for information, awareness and advocacy are among the forms of political participation more recurrent among organizations. The use of the internet in this context is closely related to communication, obtaining and/or seek information and visibility of services and political actions developed. However, more specific employment was seen as the emergence of the use of electronic social networking, accountability on the website and fundraising. The results suggest that the internet itself does not boost political participation, since it operates in a complementary way, but potentiates the action already effected by the CSO.
