摘要
In the article discussed a general context of the new concept of teacher education that associated with the new Federal Law "Education in the Russian Federation" (December 29, 2012). It is indicated that currently about 270 educational organization of higher education realize educational programs in the field of teacher education, which is approximately 30% of the total number of Russian universities, and noted that the share of such institutions is growing. Presented the main results of the monitoring activities of pedagogical universities of the Russian Federation. Noted by new content and organizational challenges facing the project of modernization of teacher education.
