摘要
The steady-state kinetics of ascorbic acid oxidation catalyzed by horseradish peroxidase was studied. Ascorbic acid is the slowly oxidized substrate of peroxidase. The k(cat) and K-m values of this substrate were determined at pH from 3,5 to 8. At high concentrations (80-240 mu M), ascorbic acid activates the enzyme at all pH values. Activation mechanism by ascorbic acid of peroxidase oxidation reactions was suggested.
