摘要
The 12C ground state and its first excited 2+ state at 4.43 MeV are described by angular momentum projection from the same Slater determinant in LS coupling. In contrast to HF calculations where the energy is minimized, the four parameters in the Slater determinant now are fitted to elastic and inelastic electron scattering form factors at momentum transfers q < 1.62 fm- for which Born, approximation is used. The resulting Slater determinant gives different signs of the deformations in the two shells and results in a higher excitation energy of the 2+ level than in usual HF calculations. At momentum transfers above the first diffraction minimum, the elastic form factor is reasonable, but the inelastic one is a factor of 8 too small. © 1968.
