SOLID-PHASE PEPTIDE SYNTHESIS OF [L-ALANINE3-L-ISOLEUCINE5'-ANGIOTENSIN 2

[L-Ala-nine3-L-isoleucine5]-angiotensin II was synthesized by stepwise elongation of the peptide chain on copolystyrene-divinylbenzene using dicyclohexyl carbodiimide as the condensing agent. The purified end product was obtained in 55% yield and possessed 68% of the pressor activity of [isoleucine5]-angiotensin II.
