SYNTHESIS AND NMR SPECTROSCOPIC INVESTIGATION OF A MACROCYCLIC DIPHOSPHINE LIGAND AND ITS NICKEL(II) AND PALLADIUM(II) COMPLEXES

The preparation of a macrocyclic diphosphine ligand 5 incorporating a binaphthyl unit and its Ni-II and Pd-II complexes, 6 and 7, is described. A complete assignment of H-1,- C-13-, and P-31-NMR data on the basis of 2D NMR spectroscopy (H-1, H-1-, C-13, H-1-, P-31, H-1-, P-31, C-13-COSY) was possible for 5, and also - in part - for 6 and 7.
