摘要
This article considers quantitative and thermodynamic studies of the kinetics of grain growth in a powder-formed superalloy. The activation energy for grain growth and its rate during annealing from 1170°C to 1270°C were determined for samples of a new material, APK-6, a unique modification of PM IN-792. Values of 365 kJ mol-1 and 384 kJ mol-1 for Qg, the activation energy for grain growth, were obtained by considering changes in maximum and mean grain diameters, respectively. The rate of grain growth at each temperature obeyed the relationships D = ktn; the exponent n was evaluated to be around 0.15. Annealing for 22 h at 1270°C resulted in anomalous grain growth with average and maximum grain diameters of 60 μm and 85 μm, respectively, which showed that this particular heat treatment might be useful for application of this material as blades in gas-turbine engines. © 1990.
