Diabetic Ketoacidosis Presenting with Metabolic Alkalosis

Introduction: Diabetes is a disease with an increasing incidence and prevalence. Chronic and acute complications of diabetes cause mortality, morbidity, and increased health expenditure. A major acute complication of diabetes usually presenting with serious organic acidosis is diabetic ketoacidosis. Case Report: We report the case of a patient with diabetic ketoacidosis case who presented with diabetic metabolic alkalosis. Conclusion: Through this case, we aimed to draw attention to the assessment of mixed acid-base disturbances in emergency departments.
