Psychological-Social Perspective Violence and Solutions

Violence phenomenon which starts with humanity history has been a global problem without making any distinction about race, religion, language and culture in this century. Violence is a phenomenon which has instinctive, biological, psychological, sociological and economic aspects. Therefore, the approaches dealing with solution of violence must also be versatile. Rather than punishing violent after the implement, studies should focus on the violence prevention before implementation. This situation can be achieved by gaining sense of conscience, religiousness, self-control via education which starts from early age. In this study, violence definition, causes, solutions and views of the psychological approaches related with violence were studied. Understanding violence sources and causes in a correct way is important in terms of determining what kind of precautions should be taken to prevent violence.
