摘要
Optical absorption measurements have been performed on samples of crystalline and amorphous SiO2 at several temperatures between 4 and 300 K. The data have been analysed using Urbach's rule for the absorption coefficient against photon energy. Results of this analysis for crystalline and amorphous SiO2 are compared and discussed.
