摘要
Beyond the atmospheric protection, satellites may meet various types of primary radiation. The characteristics of the components of the space radiation environment (particles trapped in Van Allen's belt, solar emissions during eruptions and cosmic radiation), and the effects of solar activity and of magnetospheric screening on the particle fluxes, are described. The interaction of these primary radiations with matter produces secondary radiations; their production mechanisms, charcteristics and possible effects are reviewed. The methods for calculating the absorbed doses, and the results obtained on the orbits most frequently used for application satellites, are rapidly outlined.
