摘要
The most ideal application of the high temperature reactor could be the production of hydrogen from water with the aid of thermochemical methods. At the present time, a large proportion of the world's energy demand is met by the fluid fossil fuels, because of their availability and convenient use. However, the long-term limited quantity and high cost of petroleum and natural gas resources are becoming more and more evident. For that reason, new forms of energy are required to solve the future problems of the world energy market, especially as regards the substitution of fossil fuels. This article shows how nuclear energy could make an important contribution towards this goal.
