摘要
A different wording of the theme of the current Cahier de l'APLIUT enables a better apprehension of the specialist terminology which is used to convey the vocabulary of renewables. A comparison of a corpus from New Scientist with a research article corpus from Renewable Energy highlights the similarities and differences in their respective use of specialist terminology. Numerous specialist dictionaries, encyclopaedias and web sites fill the gaps left by the continuous proliferation of such teens brought about by the new concepts and notions which emerge from basic and applied research in this new domain. As soon as these teens are laid down in general English dictionaries, they will also become scientific and technical vocabulary or even commonly used words.
