This paper depicts the process of integration of the higher education in Brazil, since it is in this date that the Federal University of Latin American Integration (UNILA, in Portuguese) is inaugurated, in the city of Foz do Iguacu - PR, with the aim of a regional integration, through the teaching in the Latin American countries and the Caribbean, and also in this year the University of the International Integration of the Afro-Brazilian Lusophony (UNILAB, in Portuguese) was inaugurated, having as its aim the integration between the nations that compose the African countries which have Portuguese as their oficial language, in the city of Redencao -CE. With these universities, Brazil presents to the world an internationalization project, through the higher education, through the South-South cooperation, with the promise of guaranteeing a humanistic, scientific and technological knowledge in the South Atlantic zone, which has been an area of interest to Brazil for some time now.
