摘要
Suggested in this work is a novel approach to the calculation of the dynamic coefficients of fluid film bearings. In contrast to traditional approaches, this technique allows the scope of the neces-sary computations to be materially reduced. Considered here, as a concrete example, is a tilting-pad journal bearing for which the approach suggested offers the greatest advantages. The results of our computations are compared with experimental data.
