Cutaneous melanoma: from epidemiology to chemotherapy

摘要：

Cutaneous melanoma is responsible for about 4 to 5% of the malignant tumours of the skin, but is responsible for 80% of the death-related skin cancers, with an overall survival of only 14% in 5 years in stage IV disease. Early diagnosis is of vital importance for a better prognosis. There are genetic factors, but also environmental factors, especially sun radiation. In this article, a review of melanoma was done, covering from pathology to treatment, and also new techniques for the management of advanced disease.
