摘要：
A thermodynamic model with two substances (insiders/outsiders) in both gas and liquid (condensed) phase shows good ability to predict unemployment (= liquid phase) in the United Kingdom 1861-1938 and provides a setting for dynamic studies, such as the Phillips curve.
