摘要
The mechanism can be explained in terms of: (1) rate determining step (FeClOH)** minus //a//d//s yields FeClOH plus e for the anodic reaction, (2) reduction of H** plus ion adsorbed on the surface to 0. 5 by the addition of chloride ions, and (3) rate determining discharge of H** plus ions for the cathodic reaction. Iodide and quinoline both inhibit corrosion by coverage of the surface and do not participate in the mechanism of dissolution.
