摘要
The pumping equipment making up the water feeding system of a power plant consumes 55% of the total electric energy input of the plant. This study allowed obtaining the hydraulic characteristic of the piping system and the effect that capacity regulation supply system was evaluated. This can reduce 9% of annual electricity consumption. This means a reduction of 1863 MWh/year. The investment to be made in three frequency converters is $ 1 170 000 USD with a payback period of the investment (PRI) de five years, and Net Present Value (NPV) of USD $ 1 613 142, considering a useful life period of equipment of 25 years.
