This article intends to show the main structures and semantic-pragmatic uses, in which the phraseological intensifiers of colloquial spoken Spanish in Medellin city and its metropolitan area appear. In order to describe the ilative phraseological units, we have decided to work with Garcia-Page. s proposal (2008), who divides them into quantitative nominal syntagms, prepositional syntagms, stereotyped comparative structures, emphatic consecutive structures and emphatic negation expressions. Regarding to the semantic-pragmatic function of intensifiers that modify both the quality and the quantity within the statement, we started with Briz. s characterization (1998), which also distinguishes pragmatic intensification from enunciation. The examples that illustrate the article were taken from the documental corpus of the "Diccionario descriptivo del espanol del Valle de Aburra (DEVA)". Finally, in the conclusions we outstand some analyzed aspects of these ilative structures which, in the near future, may head to other pragmatic feature guests into the regional spanish.
