摘要
It is considered that the free energy of the microstructure ought to be evaluated for the microstructure consisting of many precipitate particles. In the present work, on the assumption of a microstructure where the precipitates are positioned on a simple cubic lattice, we estimate the total free energy G(system) of the microstructure including a chemical free energy, an elastic strain energy and an interfacial energy. The elastic interaction energy between precipitates is ignored. The possibility of predicting the microstructure development is discussed on the basis of the total free energy evaluated. The results obtained are as follows: (1) The interfacial energy of the microstructure varies parabolically with the volume fraction f of precipitates. (2) The sequence of microstructure changes during aging can be predicted by the estimation of G(system) for the various microstructure morphologies.
