Welfare Quality in the Attention to the Hospitalized Patient and its Influence in the User's Satisfaction

摘要
The purpose of this study was to determine the quality of service in the attention of hospitalized patients and as it reflected in user satisfaction expressed when leaving the Neumonology Ward of The University Hospital Dr. Luis Gomez Lopez. A descriptive field study was designed, using as a primary source of information the users of this area of hospitalization who were discharged during the month of October 2003. A questionaire with 16 items was applied in order to evaluate the variable user satisfaction. The results demonstrated a high satisfaction level among the users which, in spite of the lack of basic support supplies (equipment, materials and medicines), is based on patient treatment, and the work ethic of the personnel that attend this patient service.
