摘要
Impedance uniformity of the disk‐insulated serrated‐seam coaxial makes this Bell System standard a suitable transmission line for the L‐4 system. As used in Coax 20, the nine in‐service coaxial pairs and one reserve pair provide the capability of transmitting 82,400 simultaneous telephone conversations. To make the L‐4 system a total communications network, support apparatus and enclosures which house and protect the electronic equipment from varied and rigorous environments were designed to complement the reliability and integrity of the Coax 20 cable. © 1969 The Bell System Technical Journal
