This article presents a study on the performance of the St. Andrew Bishop, Claudio Hummes, during the strikes of 1978 workers, 1979, 1980 on ABC. Through the text you can check and raise discussions on the influence of Vatican II theology and Latin American theology in the bishop practices and at the same time, the alliance of this segment of Catholicism with the working class during the military regime
