摘要
Hepatic metastatic disease is the most common cause of death in cancer patients. Complete surgical resection is currently considered curative treatment, however only 25% of patients are candidates at the time of diagnosis. Show the different techniques oncologic interventional radiology has been developed for the treatment of hepatic metastases. The purpose of these procedures is to allow patients options curative or palliative treatment and those who are not candidates for surgery, making them candidates for surgery and even improve survival. Among the most commonly performed procedures are: percutaneous ablation, intra-arterial chemoembolization, radioembolization and embolization of the portal vein. This review describes the indications and techniques for implementing those procedures.
