摘要
The effects of chloroform and halothane on the Donnan potential and the membrane potential of protoplasmic drops isolated from Chara corallina were investigated as a function of inhalation anesthetic concentration. Chloroform and halothane produced a sudden change of about 18 mV in the Donnan potential and the membrane potential of protoplasmic drops at concentrations of 0.1 and 0.05 mM, respectively. This was interpreted as showing that the two inhalation anesthetics cause a phase change in the cell membrane at different concentrations, accompanied by an abrupt decrease in the surface charge density. © 1991.
