摘要
The high dependence on fossil fuels coupled with the need to minimize the environmental impact caused by emissions of greenhouse gases are factors that drive the study of new processes in the renewable energy field. Hydrogen is considered the fuel of the future and its production from bio oil that is derived from fast pyrolysis is today a promising option. Acetic acid is one of the molecules that comprise bio-oil in higher amount and for this reason it is frequently chosen as a model compound to establish catalyst structure-activity relationships. In this paper, a review on the current status of hydrogen production from acetic acid was carried out.
