摘要
Optical electron transitions between traps in polar media are analyzed. A relation for the shape of the spectrum is obtained with the aid of the dielectric-continuum model used to describe polar media and of an expression for the optical-transition probability. It is shown that the asymmetric spectrum of solvated electrons known from experiment can arise because of two reasons in this model: by simultaneous contributions from the 1s to 2p transition and from the transition that is attended by electron transfer, and by scatter in the distances between neighboring traps (in the latter case, line broadening is heterogeneous in character).
