摘要
Detailed chemical analyses of hot brines from the French Dogger in the Parisian Basin were performed. In brines where reduced sulfur species (organic and inorganic polysulfides, elemental sulfur, thiosulfate) are found, there is good agreement between analytical and electrochemical results. A systematic use of UV spectra of the brines is helpful in distinguishing organic and inorganic polysulfides. Organic matter plays an important role in the transportation of reduced sulfur species. Manganese and zinc concentrations are controlled by limestone rocks. Iron, copper, and lead concentrations are controlled by sulfide precipitation.
