RECENT ADVANCES IN THE SYNTHESIS OF OPTICALLY-ACTIVE ALPHA-AMINO-ACIDS

摘要
To date, there have been explored many methods for synthesizing optically active alpha-amino acids. This review describes recent development of these synthetic method from a viewpoint of three types of asymmetric bond formation at the alpha-carbon of alpha-amino acis: (i) alpha-alkylation of glycine and its synthetic equivalents; (ii) alpha-amination of carboxylic acids; and (iii) alpha-carboxylation of amines.
