ON MAGNETIC RELAXATION OF IRON-RICH FERRITES IN TEMPERATURE RANGE 300 TO 450 DEGREES C

Using the induced anisotropy, the magnetic relaxation effect of MexFe3−xO4+γ ferrites is investigated in the temperature region 300 to 450 °C. It is shown that this effect appears only in the Mn‐Fe and Zn‐Fe ferrites. At small concentrations (x < 0.1) the induced anisotropy is proportional to the concentration of Mn and Zn ions, respectively. It is presumed that this relaxation effect is caused by the directional ordering of some configurations of Mn and Zn ions, respectively, on the tetrahedral sites of the spinel lattice.
