THE TEACHING OF WRITING AT COLLEGE: IS A DUTY?

摘要
This article is a preview of the theoretical approaches governing the investigation La escritura en la Universidad Nacional Abierta: politicas y practicas dominantes, carried out in the Centro Local San Cristobal, estado Tachira. The purpose of the research is to describe the scriptural events that occur in this institution, considering the value that writing in this mode. Thus, it is imperative from a solid theoretical framework to analyze the two positions that until now are prevailing in the discussion: a) those who believe that writing is a generic skill acquired in the early years of schooling, whose purpose is transmit the acquired knowledge, b) those who are inclined to writing as a process, which learns and apprehends throughout life, being a practical set. Based on these premises, the first theoretical analysis on the guidelines that receives the new student of this university through the document Introductory Course, define the practices and unscriptural policies as contradictory, by placing the writing on the field, the knowledge through textual genres designed to build knowledge. At the same time, instructional texts are models like consulted by the student material, which reduces the possibilities of defining where the writing objectives are addressed in this study center. Finally, this approach an ambiguous scriptural evidence that training can have serious repercussions for the graduates
