EXPERIMENTS RELATING TO THEORY OF MAGNETIC DIRECT GENERATION OF ULTRASOUND IN METALS

摘要：

Quantitative measurements of the temperature and frequency dependence of magnetic direct generation and the relative efficiency of generation in a number of metals are presented. These results are shown to be in substantial agreement with a description of the generation of ultrasound in terms of magnetic body forces on the eddy currents in the skin depth of the metal. © 1969 The American Physical Society.
