摘要：

Though the results of long term mortality studies currently being undertaken in Britain's coking plants are not expected to be available until 1979, recent American evidence strongly indicates that cancer of the lung and kidney are excessive among coke oven workers. This evidence has prompted NSF and BSC, Britains major coke producers, to institute comprehensive measures aimed at protecting its workforce from the health hazards of coke oven operation.
