摘要：
When neodymium metal is placed in warm, dilute acetic acid, a light brown precipitate appears as the metal dissolves. The precipitate exhibits reducing properties which suggest a lower oxidation state of the neodymium. Similar materials can be prepared with other rare-earth metals and other acids. A precipitate obtained when gadolinium metal reacts with mucochloric acid is described. © 1968.
