摘要
Cu-Al-Ni beta -phase alloys exhibit shape memory properties, good corrosion resistance and hardness. The present work concentrates on alloys containing 10% Ni which have been found to be extremely brittle with almost zero impact strength. The advantage in working with the rapidly solidified alloys is the small grain size which provides the opportunity of directly observing the grain boundaries in a transmission electron microscope (TEM). Boron doped ribbons were also prepared to study effects on the phase transformations.
