摘要
The linear growth rates of small (0.1-0.5 mm) MnCl2.4H2O crystals from aqueous solutions in the direction normal to the (100) plane grown with and without a magnetic field have been measured at various temperatures and supersaturations. The application of a magnetic field during crystal growth changes the growth rate of the majority of the crystals. It is shown that the crystal growth rate distribution changes at a lower temperature and at a higher solution supersaturation if a magnetic field is applied. Possible mechanisms of the influence of a magnetic field on the crystal growth rate are discussed.
