摘要
Recent studies show the significant role of education institution directors as true leaders in the continuous improvement of educational processes and the attainment of a true quality education. Leadership performance within an educational institution must be eminently educational. The leader profile typically boasts various dimensions, amongst them the training dimension. Therefore, by means of a mixed methodology that combines researching and analysing of quantitative and qualitative data, a study was held in order to evidence the importance that teachers and directors convey to the training dimension of a true educational leader and to the different constituent elements of such dimensions. Although some differences between assessment and posterior compliance of some features, as well as significant differences between the perspective of teachers and directors, have been found; overall, both initial and continuous training of educational leaders are considered as the true makers of the educational change.
