摘要
It is important to understand the rates of diffusion of ionic species and the viscous flow of fluids in the pore structure of cementitious materials on the basis of microstructural parameters, as these rates control the rate at which degradation processes can proceed. Significant progress has been made in the related area of the diffusivity and permeability of sedimentary rocks in the last decade or so. This article has the following two purposes: to provide a critical review of popular theories linking microstructure and transport coefficients of porous materials, and to explore the applications of new concepts, developed for analyzing transport in sedimentary rocks, to understand transport processes in cementitious materials. © 1990.
