摘要
The Kjeldahl determination of nitrogen is still one of the most common determinations in science. Despite the remarkable simplicity of Kjeldahl's discovery, few workers have understood its principles and taken full advantage of these principles to effect improvements. The evolution of the method and toxicity problems are discussed. The current status of automated methods and microwave digestion is considered. Some predictions about future directions are made.
