摘要
This article reflects upon why field-based learning in religious education-an integral dimension of adult education-for the degree of Master of Religious Education (MRE) should have a specific educational focus. As the author teaches MRE students in a Catholic Faculty of Theology where most of them are Catholic teachers, the article examines field education for MRE students from a Roman Catholic educational perspective. The article elaborates upon the intellectual/pastoral nature of the Catholic education, particularly the school, and uses this as a foundation upon which the field education of Catholic teachers should be conducted.
