QUALITY IN ENGINEERING-EDUCATION

The teaching of quality and reliability engineering as part of all engineering courses is strongly recommended not as a core subject but a necessary supplement in the aspects of product design, manufacture, maintenance and use. While it might be too early to combine it with the design of the product, this approach imparts some consciousness on quality and reliability early on. This will most likely lead to a better design and thus a better model.
