摘要
In this paper an integrated CAD/CAM system for sheet-metal forming processes is presented. The paper briefly outlines the general structure of this program package and describes in detail its main modules, the geometric description, the layout design, the technological and tool design modules will especially be emphasized. The total system is based on a unified database containing a large amount of necessary information on materials. mechanical properties, technological and tool parameters, etc. The elaborated CAD/CAM system (running on IBM PC and its compatibles) is further developed continuously due to its modular structure. Its efficiency is 4-5 times higher than conventional designs.
