DOPPLER-FREE LASER SPECTROSCOPY OF CEF AND OBSERVATION OF HYPERFINE-STRUCTURE

摘要
The only known band in CeF (i.e., that at 5679.4 Å) has been examined with a Doppler-free molecular-beam laser-fluorescence arrangement. Several upper state perturbations are found, and upper state hyperfine structure is measured for low J values. Wavenumber values are assigned relative to the standard Gerstenkorn-Luc iodine reference atlas, and the spectroscopic constants are found to be (in cm-1): Te = 17592.6894(15), B′ = 0.234640(11), D′ = 2.79(55) × 10-7, B″ = 0.240322(17), D″ = 1.811(27) × 10-7 cm-1. We confirm the result Ω″ = 3.5 and find Ω′ = 4.5. © 1991.
