Diagnosis of thoracic injury begins with a history of events and examination of the patient. Appropriate radiographic studies will be dictated by the findings on history and physical. Procedural examinations, such as endoscopy or angiography, may also be needed for accurate diagnosis. © 2008 Elsevier Inc. All rights reserved.
