摘要：

A theory of the orotron starting regime with a two-velocity electron flow in the approximation of large space charges is developed. The use of a two-velocity electron beam instead of an one-velocity beam with the same total current is shown to lead to reduction of resonator starting Q-factor. The reduction is increased if 'plasma' transit angle is increased too. Using the two-velocity beam can allow to considerably reduce the starting current of an orotron for large enough parameters characterizing the space charge.
