Bilateral filter based multiscale layer tone mapping algorithm

摘要
In order to enhance the display effect of High dynamic range image (HDR) , this paper proposed a multi-scale gradient domain color mapping algorithm. Firstly, the luminance information of high dynamic range images is extracted, and the luminance data of high dynamic range images are decomposed in multiple scales by bilateral filtering, and the basic and detailed layers are obtained. Since the change of visual brightness is reflected in the gradient of image data, the adaptive dynamic range compression of basic layer images can be carried out in the gradient domain. Then the detailed layer image information is added, and finally the image color is restored through the color correction algorithm to realize the dynamic range compression of HDR images. The quantitative analysis of the comparison algorithm shows that the objective indexes of variance and information entropy of the algorithm in this paper increased by 30.8% and 5.9% respectively. In this paper, while compressing the dynamic range of HDR images, the details such as boundary and texture are preserved.
